Born in Mexico City, Violeta Perales, MBA, CDP® is a Financial Professional with 29+ years of combined experience in governmental, private and non-profit sectors. She is an IT Policy & Planning Senior Specialist with DSHS Technology Innovation Administration (TIA) and has worked for the state of Washington since 2008 in a variety of roles. She is a Certified Diversity Practitioner and completed the ITIL® 4 Foundation certification in 2023.
Her leadership and commitment to DSHS’s mission of Transforming Lives has been recognized on several occasions including the “2013 DSHS Office of Accounting Services Management Team Award”, the “2016 DSHS Financial Services Administration Assistance Secretary/CFO award”, and a nomination for the “2023 DSHS “Beloved Community” Award” in the employee category for her work in the advancement of EDAI for TIA.
She currently lives in Olympia WA with her husband and their teenage son.
